The third installment of “The Angry Birds Movie,” based on the popular video game, has been announced to be distributed by Paramount Pictures and is scheduled to hit theaters on January 29, 2027.
In a new development, the game developer Rovio Entertainment, along with its owner Sega, is working on the third installment of the series. This time around, the voice talents of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom, and Danny McBride will once again bring to life their characters Red, Chuck, Silver, and Bomb in this humorous animated film.
Joining the voice cast are Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, James Austin Johnson and Psalm West in their new roles.

In collaboration with Rovio/Sega, Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios is teaming up with Flywheel Media, One Cool Group, and dentsu to co-produce this movie. Paramount Pictures will handle the worldwide distribution responsibilities.
Sony Pictures initially launched the first two Angry Birds movies. The initial movie, The Angry Birds Movie, debuted in 2016 and amassed a global revenue of $352 million, without taking inflation into account. In contrast, The Angry Birds Movie 2, which was released in 2019, only managed to pull in $147.8 million worldwide. However, Rovio and SEGA pointed out that the film franchise has grossed over $500 million at the global box office and has been a popular choice on streaming platforms globally, suggesting a robust interest in a third movie.
