Remember Brat Summer?
It wasn’t so long ago, but it already feels like a part of the distant past.

Last summer, Vice President Kamala Harris assumed the role of acting president as President Joe Biden grappled with cognitive challenges. The political party chose not to publicly discuss Biden’s cognitive decline, but grew concerned when his approval ratings began to plummet.
Behold, a fresh, trendy contender! For several bubbly weeks, there was a strong association between Harris and youthful, rebellious energy. This was surprising given her low approval ratings, as some progressives had hoped she would be replaced from the ticket earlier in the year.
It turns out that rebrand was anything but organic.
The team “Way to Win” contributed significantly to the process by compensating a large number of social media influencers, who then promoted Harris’ popularity.
Spoiler Alert: It failed.
According to a report by Lee Fang for Real Clear Investigations, it was revealed that organization Way to Win worked swiftly to transform the image of an unpopular figure, Harris, within just a few weeks.
Method: The initiative provided assistance to approximately 550 writers who produced 6,644 pieces of content across various platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and X. Way to Win trained creators on appropriate phrases, relevant topics, and primary themes to “spread pro-Kamala messages consistently” as stated in a post-election summary from the group.
It’s common knowledge that Democrats used a significant amount of funds to persuade prominent figures to back the Harris campaign. An instance of this is Oprah Winfrey’s organization donating a million dollars to aid Harris in defeating Donald Trump. However, Winfrey stated that the money was actually utilized for production expenses rather than the campaign.
Now, RCI shares how a feminist comedian also took money to fund videos supporting Harris’ campaign.
As an ardent admirer, I’m sharing that Ilana Glazer, the humorous performer renowned for her role in Broad City on Comedy Central, has secured Way to Win funding for a series of political videos titled “Microdosing Democracy.” In these clips, she playfully advocates for Harris while casually lighting up a joint of marijuana.

Content producers frequently produce videos for relatively low prices, managing to amass large viewer bases along the way. Some video podcasters simply activate their cameras and speak against their personalized backgrounds. Others invest in small production budgets to employ professionals such as producers, editors, and other experts to make their content more polished.
It’s unclear what amount Glazer received for producing the videos at hand, as they appeared relatively low-budget.
