Takehiro Hira, who gained recognition among North American viewers through his Emmy-nominated roles in “Shogun” on FX, is now part of the cast for the distinctive action-thriller titled “Karoshi,” produced by Lionsgate.
Actress Tea Yoo, known for her debut role in A24’s romantic drama “Past Lives”, will lead a new film alongside Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo and Isabel May from the series “1923”. The screenplay for this project was penned by Takashi Doscher, who previously directed the 2019 post-apocalyptic thriller “Only”, and he will also direct.
The project is being produced by some highly accomplished individuals, including Chad Stahelski, Alex Young, and Jason Spitz, who are known for their work on the John Wick series through Lionsgate’s 87Eleven Entertainment. This production company has a prior agreement with the studio, giving them the first opportunity to develop projects together.
