2025 TV programming in the U.S. has gifted us some truly excellent series, particularly in the reality television genre. Nevertheless, it left me feeling a bit disheartened when CBS decided not to air a new season of Celebrity Big Brother this time around. Now, with JoJo Siwa and Mickey Rourke appearing on the UK version, I’m definitely experiencing some major “I wish I was there” feelings.
In contrast to the U.S.’s Celebrity Big Brother that faced difficulties initiating live broadcasts, the UK edition swiftly put its celebrities in front of viewers’ eyes right away. This quick action led to an entertaining scene where Mickey Rourke was promptly made to join a conga line by JoJo Siwa as soon as he entered the house.
It’s a real treat to watch these ITV shows, but it’s disappointing that Americans don’t have a legal way to do so. For instance, I’ve enjoyed seeing Mickey Rourke reveal his identity on “The Masked Singer” and watching JoJo Siwa on “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” but unfortunately, I can’t watch them vie for the Head of Household title.
How To Watch Celebrity Big Brother UK 2025 Online And Live Stream Season 24 For Free From Anywhere
For those who are disappointed, just like me, that we don’t have Celebrities on live feeds with Paramount+ at the moment, here’s why: Series Executive Producer Alison Grodner mentioned in December that Celebrity Big Brother usually airs in the U.S. as a counter-program to the Winter Olympics. Therefore, it might be back on CBS in 2026.
In a more palatable rephrasing: The spin-off of “Big Brother” could benefit from a redemption season following a contentious finale filled with uncomfortable scenes where many viewers felt let down by one of the finalists, Todrick Hall. Although he might have easily won during a standard season, the fact that the celebrity housemates were not isolated and witnessed his repeated backhanded comments about them may have swayed the results. In the end, Tate emerged victorious with an overwhelming majority of votes, leaving some contestants harboring hard feelings.
In every season, it doesn’t always play out like that, but so far, things seem to be going well with JoJo Siwa taking the lead in Celebrity Big Brother UK. Known for her uplifting nature, it’s no wonder she’s spearheading this season and even drawing Mickey Rourke into the mix. Let’s see if her positivity remains as she spends extended periods close to many others and under constant camera surveillance.
To clarify, “Celebrity Big Brother UK” is currently being aired on ITV outside of the US, unfortunately leaving American viewers unable to watch. However, the silver lining is that summer isn’t much longer, which means “Big Brother” Season 27 will be airing on CBS soon!
