Top Chef Alum Tiffany Derry Has An Enthusiastic Response After Gordan Ramsay Signed Her On For MasterChef: ”OMG It’s Crazy’

In today’s streaming age when your preferred TV series might take up to three years between seasons, there’s much to appreciate about the reassurance that comes with knowing a beloved program returns annually. Personally, I can’t imagine summer without fresh installments of Masterchef. But this upcoming summer will bring some changes for the show, primarily with the addition of new judge Tiffany Derry.

spectators of cooking shows are probably familiar with Tiffany Derry since she has shone in numerous series. This includes her notable stint on Top Chef, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Worst Cooks in America. Throughout her career, she has taken on roles as a competitor, host, and judge. Now, she’s using that judging expertise on Masterchef.

She’ll be joining king of the cooking shows Gordon Ramsey and part-time singer Joe Bastianich for Season 15, and you can tell from her Instagram post just how excited she is. She said:

Well, here’s some exciting news! The secret is finally out – I am now one of the judges on MasterChef! Can you believe it? I’ve been keeping this under wraps for a while, but now that it’s official, it all feels so real!

I’m excited that Derry is now part of the team, and it’s great to finally see a woman on the panel after many years. However, this development is bittersweet for me because Derry joining means that Aarón Sánchez, who has been a judge since Season 8, and was the last female judge, is leaving the show. It appears that his departure hasn’t been formally addressed yet, so it’s uncertain if he chose to leave or not.

Regardless of the cause, Derry appears to be quite thrilled about starting the fresh season. She mentions that making the decision to join the series was challenging, yet it seems as if she enjoyed herself immensely. For further insight, take a look at her complete remarks below.

In Season 15 of Masterchef, there’s more than just a new judge bringing change. The previous seasons have featured specific themes, and this one is no exception – it’s called “Dynamic Duos.” During the season, teams of two will be the norm, with pairs consisting of friends, relatives, or romantic partners. Additionally, the Pressure Test, an early elimination round where the bottom performers faced off to remain in the competition, will be reintroduced this time around.

It’s intriguing how Masterchef often steers clear of typical reality TV feuds among personalities, which is something I’ve always admired about it. Given that individuals who usually get along might find it challenging to maintain harmony under the intense pressure of Masterchef, it certainly adds an element of suspense and drama.

The exact release date for Season 15 of “Masterchef” hasn’t been disclosed yet, but you can expect it to air this summer on Fox. If you subscribe to Hulu, you’ll be able to catch up on the episodes the very next day.
