In the recent episode of “Ghosts” airing on the 2025 TV schedule, those spooky spirits got me feeling a bit chilled. They dared to call for a ghost trap and cross the boundary, risking their existence. Fortunately, everything turned out well in the end. Yet, I found myself pondering what could have transpired if they had indeed crossed the boundary within that box. So, I reached out to Asher Grodman to seek his insights on the matter.
Initially, Sas and Thor found themselves ensnared within a spectral confinement. Eager to cross over into another realm where they could locate Shiki and experience love, Roman Zaragoza’s character decided to venture forth and enter the ghost trap. This daring move, though, carried significant risks. As events unfolded, they came to recognize that their plan was ill-conceived quite late in the game.
In a moment of swift intervention, Thor bravely stepped into the spectral cage, using his electrocuting abilities to disarm and free both himself and Sas from its clutches.
The entire plan caused quite a stir among the spirits, so when I spoke with Asher Grodman, who plays Trevor, I felt compelled to discuss his views on the potential collision. He expressed that if the trap had crossed the boundary, they likely wouldn’t have made it, explaining this to me in our conversation.
I’m not sure about the details, but it seems like there might have been a discussion or it could just be Trevor’s paranoia. He kept saying that something bad was going to happen, that I would get squashed, as if it were inevitable. It appears highly likely that something was going to go wrong.
He raises a valid argument. In that particular episode, Sam introduced an individual who attempted to repair the ghost trap for Sas. Yet, this person turned out to be questionable, and held contentious views about spirits. This fact alone unsettled Grodman and his character Trevor, as they confided in me: “This situation makes us uneasy.
Why would this creepy guy understand how a ghost boundary works?
Similar to Grodman, my initial reaction towards Sas’s ghost trap plan was quite reserved. I understand his eagerness to find love, and I must admit, the creativity he demonstrated is admirable. Nevertheless, it seems unwise for him to jeopardize his afterlife over such a high-risk endeavor, especially considering he hasn’t set eyes on this woman in centuries.
Not only did Pete fulfill his promise by bringing Joan as the person he’d help with, I’m curious about where this leads. Moreover, there remains a mystery about the spirits connected to Sas’s demise, and I hope to witness more of his dream-walking ability being used. Consequently, he can’t depart just yet, and it’s fortunate that other spirits understood this, allowing Thor to prevent him from leaving.
Although I don’t wish for the ghost to depart, I’m curious to understand if the trap will squash the spirit should it cross the border, or if this mechanism would effectively help the ghost exit our premises.
The show Ghosts has been renewed for two additional seasons, which means there may be further exploration of this spooky journey, as Asher Grodman mentioned to me.
Well, it seems we might never find out. This query, however, could be addressed in future episodes, let’s just hope the character who gets squashed isn’t among our favorites.

Similar to the actor from Trevor, I share his skepticism about transporting ghosts through a barrier using the trap. Therefore, much like him, I fervently hope that any future testing of this theory will not necessitate a spirit being squashed or harmed in the process.
It seems we’ll need to see what unfolds next. At least for now, it’s a relief that nothing untoward transpired during this episode. Much like Gordman, my distrust towards the repairman was palpable, and I’m confident that Sas and Thor would have been in trouble if they had indeed overstepped their bounds within that seemingly harmless container.
