Mercedes-Benz Rewinds to the ’90s With ‘Youngtimer’ Exhibition

The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart is commemorating automotive legends from the 1990s to the early 2000s with an energetic display called Youngtimer, which will run from April 11, 2025 to November 2, 2025. This exhibition has been designed for millennials and car enthusiasts who reminisce about their youth, turning Collection Room 5 into a lively capsule of the past.

10 distinctive vehicles gracefully showcased, positioned in engaging themed areas that echo their era’s essence. Notable attractions include the SLK 230 Kompressor and CLK Cabriolet in the “Easy Living” zone, the speedy 190 E 2.5 Evolution II and sleek SLR McLaren Roadster in “Supersonic Speed,” and the lavish CL 600 and CLS 350 CGI in “Elegance.” Visionary cars such as the Vision R 320 CDI and Vision CLK 320 CDI Cabriolet add a touch of future-oriented style, while the E 60 AMG embodies the daring spirit of “Underground Culture.”

Stepping beyond the grand main hall of this magnificent museum, I find myself gazing upon five more youthful masterpieces, artfully displayed in oversized “scale model” packaging within the multi-story garage. Among them are the CL 500 and ML 500, a sight to behold indeed! And just near the museum entrance, a unique A-Class HyPer concept car catches my eye, adding an extra dash of excitement to this automotive art exhibition!

By incorporating contemporary flair, AI-driven interactive zones provide guests with opportunities to enjoy nostalgic racing games, compose personalized tunes, and embed their likenesses into digital masterpieces. This blends a touch of the past with a dash of technological innovation, creating an engaging environment that feels like both a trip down memory lane and a high-tech playground.
