Experience playing with such high-risk scenarios and the underlying themes was thrilling! The similarities to their relationship from the initial series are evident in this revisit, yet there are significant changes too. She’s transformed since then, and I relished delving into that transformation. Even the garage set felt oppressive to shoot in, mirroring its on-screen claustrophobia for four straight days while filming an incredibly intense, high-stakes scene. It was fascinating! Reading about such experiences as an actor, I couldn’t wait to jump into it myself. So, overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Milioti explained why the latest version of Robert Daly poses an even greater danger to her and the Callister team. “He now possesses divine powers, which he could potentially manipulate us with in the first series, but there was still a glimmer of hope that someone might reach him from the real world. Reflecting on it now, this new version is more terrifying because he’s completely cut off and has no reprieve. There’s no escape. In the initial episode, there could have been a chance for him to meet someone or form a friendship; perhaps someone could help him cope with his profound loneliness. However, in this sequel, it seems that Daly has been in solitary confinement for an extended period, making him a very different character.
