In this week’s Season 3 episode of “SurrealEstate,” titled “Night Terrors,” the main narrative revolves around a potential haunting in a father-son relationship. However, the side plots play a significant role in enriching the world of the Roman-Ireland Agency.
Specifically, a fresh contender has emerged for the position of front manager, and Audrey is notably impressive in this role. Meanwhile, when Luke (Tim Rozon) and Susan (Sarah Levy) require advanced technology to address their crucial case involving a father overprotectively parenting his teenage son due to suspected demonic possession, it’s Auggie (Maurice Dean Wint) they rely on for the necessary tech skills and know-how to save the child.

This week’s post-mortem recap on SYFY WIRE’s SurrealEstate takes us back to catch up with Rozon and Levy as they discuss the reappearance of a cherished character in the episode titled “Night Terrors”.
Sarah Levy talks SurrealEstate Season 3, Episode 2, “Night Terrors”

Last week’s season opener saw Luke and Susan bringing in aspiring lawyer Zooey L’Enfant (Savannah Basley) to help out with phone duties and office management at their Roman-Ireland office. However, the bro dude proved to be a lost cause, leading them to consider finding a genuine replacement as suggested by Zooey. Audrey appears to be an ideal choice… until they disclose the paranormal aspects of the job, causing her to gracefully resign.
In our series, we’re accustomed to encountering different people in various houses – new sellers, buyers, even paranormal entities. However, what we’re not familiar with is seeing new colleagues. Levy expressed this challenge in finding a suitable replacement for the main role, stating that even just walking up to the office desk and finding someone else sitting at reception gives him quite a surprise, as if a record skips when he sees someone else there.
Levy explained, “It disrupts the interaction you, as actors, have established among yourselves, with Savannah at her desk and Maurice dropping by. It’s an office we’re all familiar with. When a new face shows up, it makes us feel less at ease moving around the set as we usually would. In a way, this was like real life mirroring our on-screen situation. Everyone is fantastic, and we’re fortunate to have such kind, talented guest stars, but it’s strange to see someone working in our office whom we’ve never met before.
Maurice Dean Wint’s Auggie comes back to the Roman-Ireland Agency in SurrealEstate Season 3, Episode 2

In this episode, after spending three years in the R&D department at ASDRA, Auggie finds himself at a crossroads. Despite working alongside his girlfriend Rochelle (Joy Tanner), he’s grown weary of the condescending attitudes from his colleagues who are fully supportive of the company’s shift towards weapon manufacturing.
The situation becomes particularly challenging when Rochelle is vying for a significant promotion as an executive director, which necessitates her maintaining a flawless reputation during the decisive phase. However, this coincides with Auggie being approached by Luke for assistance on their most recent puzzling supernatural case. Despite his empathy towards his ex-boss and the significance of the case, Auggie secretly provides Luke with crucial equipment from the ASDRA storage and offers consulting help to ensure that the teenager doesn’t face unnecessary hardships.
Eventually, Auggie plays a crucial role in saving someone’s life and informs Rochelle about his actions. However, she becomes furious and dismisses him from work… which might turn out to be beneficial. Later, Luke and Susan gladly reintegrate their tech expert back into their group, restoring another piece of the puzzle that forms their unique family unit.
Rozon stated that Auggie should be in Roman-Ireland, “It was destined for us all to gather there,” he added. “The exact circumstances are unclear, but it feels right. It’s the place where he feels most secure, a fact both Auggie and I acknowledge. Despite his feelings for the woman he adores, true happiness for him lies in helping others. Though ASDRA may help people too, its purpose and origin seem different compared to Roman-Ireland. Ultimately, we’re all compassionate individuals who prioritize the wellbeing of those we assist above all else. I believe this is what resonates with Auggie the most.
