For a while now, The Game Collection has been a sporadic yet reliable spot for finding good deals. Today, they’ve really outdone themselves by offering Elden Ring at an unbeatable price of £21.95 across platforms like PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PC.
The current-gen versions of FromSoftware’s popular RPG have experienced a massive reduction in price – a drop of £18 from their previous price of £39.95. Among other retailers offering physical copies, this is undoubtedly the most advantageous deal available.
Another retailer in the UK that is somewhat similar is Argos, offering versions that are quite comparable priced at £21.99. However, there’s an additional charge of at least £3.95 for home delivery, which means you’d end up paying a total of £25.98 unless you choose the free store pick-up option.
With many gamers within the FromSoft community continuing to appreciate Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, even receiving a nomination for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024, now is an excellent opportunity for newcomers to jump in and create their own Tarnished character in the Lands Between.
As a dual-console gamer rocking both my trusty PS4 and shiny new PS5, I’d advise you to grab the PS4 edition of Elden Ring if you haven’t already. It comes with a complimentary upgrade to the PS5 version, making it a smart choice for those who want to enjoy this game across their consoles without breaking the bank. The standalone PS5 release, nestled in its iconic white case, doesn’t offer the same perk.
If you’re considering playing Elden Ring first and then Shadow of the Erdtree, know that each platform has its own special edition – the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Edition. The PS5 & Xbox Series X|S versions are priced at £39.99 at HMV, while they can be found for just £37.99 at Smyths. Unfortunately, at this moment, the PS5 version is out of stock at Smyths, but it was previously available for £37.99 there as well.
On both the PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC costs £32.99 and £34.99 respectively. By opting for Elden Ring’s full edition that costs approximately £40, you can save up to an additional £18.95 compared to buying the base game from The Game Collection and later purchasing the DLC separately.
