Handmaid’s Tale MUST Give Us This Update Before It Ends!

For quite some time now, the ‘streaming wars’ have been in full swing, with each platform bolstered by a handful of blockbuster original series. If you’re among those who subscribe to Hulu, you’ve enjoyed the long-running adaptation of The Handmaid’s Tale, and we’re currently in the heart of its sixth and concluding season. Although Season 6 has been exciting, I’m eagerly awaiting some final tidbits about a beloved character from the series.

Viewers are trying to find ways to catch up on The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6, and I can’t wait to see how this dystopian series comes to a close. The audience is deeply involved in the tales of Gilead, but my personal favorite character, Emily Malek played by Alexis Bledel, has been absent for more than a season now. Indeed, she’s the one I’m referring to.

In the early seasons of “The Handmaid’s Tale”, an actress from “Gilmore Girls” stole the show with her Emmy-winning performances. However, she departed the series after Season 4 and her character was subsequently written out. Although it seems unlikely for her to return in the final season, I would appreciate some information about what happened to her former Handmaid’s character.

On Hulu, you can stream “The Handmaid’s Tale” exclusively, and here’s a great offer: new and eligible returning users can try out our service for 30 days without any charge! After that, our plans start at just $9.99 per month. Check it out now!

Initially, Emily, who was the first Handmaid we encountered defying Gilead, suffered harsh retaliation for her rebellious acts. Despite managing to flee to Canada, Bledel’s character wrestled with intense anger towards those who had wronged her. Following a brutal season 4 finale where she played a key role in the murder of Fred Waterford, the actress decided to part ways with the show.

In the opening scene of Season 5, Emily’s spouse (portrayed by Clea Duvall) disclosed that Emily returned to Gilead with the intention of locating Aunt Lydia and exacting revenge for the harm inflicted upon her. Since then, there has been no further mention, sighting, or word from Emily.

So far, there’s been no sign that Bledel has shown a desire to rejoin ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ for its last, sixth season. Therefore, I’m eagerly anticipating that the upcoming series finale will provide the long-awaited resolution we need.

Was Emily, a beloved character, killed during her mission in Gilead? Or did she miraculously survive and find a way to flee once more from the oppressive nation of Gilead? I’m eager to discover what happened to her, given the abrupt manner in which her storyline was concluded. With only a few episodes left before Season 6 concludes, I hope the show will offer some resolution to the mystery surrounding Emily.

If the last season of The Handmaid’s Tale doesn’t explain what happened to Emily, it’s possible that we may find resolution somewhere else. A spin-off titled The Testaments is currently being developed, based on Margaret Atwood’s sequel novel of the same name. If it stays true to its source material, Aunt Lydia, played by Ann Dowd, will be a significant character in this spin-off. This means that she might provide information about Emily at some point during the show’s run. Many fans, including myself, are eagerly awaiting more about this beloved character.

Every Tuesday, you can find new installments of “The Handmaid’s Tale” streaming on Hulu, as it makes its debut on television. For now, we can only speculate about the destiny of our beloved characters, even Emily, as we approach the concluding episodes…
