In casual conversation with his admirers, Hrithik Roshan shared an episode from his past where he secretly attended auditions for various filmmakers without telling his father, Rakesh Roshan. At that moment, Shekhar Kapur was in the process of creating a film called “Ta Ra Rum Pum Pum”, which unfortunately never came to fruition. Intrigued by its outstanding screenplay, Hrithik went for the audition.

Upon discovering this, his father phoned his son to ask where he was. It was then that the actor, known as Fighter, confessed the truth to his father. The father responded, “Really? Return immediately; avoid such actions.” According to Hindustan Times.

Although Rakesh Roshan aimed to help Hrithik establish himself in the industry, he debuted his own son with the romantic-thriller film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai in 2000. The reason behind this decision by the director of Krrish was that his father may have felt a pang of regret at someone else potentially claiming his son for filmmaking opportunities, leading him to take action first.

Today, I can take pride in the unique path my career has taken – while I wasn’t offered a film by Rakesh Roshan as his son, it was Rakesh Roshan, the esteemed director, who gave me the opportunity instead.
