Lately, I find myself compelled to express a heart-wrenching revelation – a separation from my beloved siblings. This decision, though difficult, stems from a profound sense of pain that I have been carrying within me.
On April 12, 2024, Sonu Kakkar posted on X (previously known as Twitter) to her followers with this update. She penned, “I’m heartbroken to tell you all that I am no longer the sister of the two incredibly talented superstars, Tony Kakkar and Neha Kakkar. This choice I’ve made comes from a place of profound emotional turmoil, and today, I feel extremely saddened.” Her post included a sad emoji and a folded hands emoji.
The reason behind this split is unknown and Sonu’s post has now been deleted.

Onlookers found themselves puzzled as to what event might have led Sonu Kakkar to share this post. One individual speculated, “Perhaps it’s a publicity move or the announcement of a new song. Who knows!” Some commented that they would forever consider them siblings. A user remarked, “You two are bound by blood, not paper like marriage,” and another echoed, “Siblings will always be siblings…” Many reacted with expressions of surprise using amazed emojis.
In more casual terms, Sonu Kakkar’s surprising declaration was made not long after Amaal Mallik disclosed ending relationships with his kin. He pointed out that the actions of his parents led to a falling-out with his sibling Armaan Malik.
In an emotional Instagram post, Amaal expressed that our shared journey has been wonderful, but actions by their parents have driven us apart as brothers. These events have caused a deep wound in his heart that he feels compelled to address personally.
He stated, “On this day, I’m compelled to express, with a sense of sadness, that I am choosing to distance myself from these familial connections. Moving forward, any dealings with my family will be confined to professional matters only.
