Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, boasts an impressive slate of projects ahead of her acting debut. In addition to readying herself for multiple movie roles, she’s also planning to break into the streaming platform scene. Shanaya is set to lead the cast in Student of the Year 3, which has been adapted as a web series. It has recently been revealed that production on this project is scheduled to start on April 20, 2025.
As per the latest news from Mid-day, the upcoming series “Student of the Year 3,” produced by Karan Johar and scheduled to begin filming in Mumbai this month itself, will reportedly consist of six episodes. This project is set to be directed by newcomer Reema Maya for the first time.
According to the information from the source, the movie featuring Shanaya Kapoor will take approximately 30 days to film. The source added that Student of the Year 3 has been in development for six years now, and finally, Karan has given his approval. Filming is set to start on April 20th, and they aim to complete six episodes within this tight 30-day schedule.
Based on the latest updates, Shanaya is set to play dual roles in this upcoming series. The anticipated premiere is scheduled on JioHotstar.
Previous films in the Student of the Year series have brought new talent into Bollywood. The 2012 film introduced Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra. In its 2019 sequel, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria made their debut. For Shanaya Kapoor, the upcoming Student of the Year 3 will mark her first project on an online streaming platform.
Shanaya Kapoor’s first appearance in Bollywood will be in the movie “Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan”. In this film, she will appear alongside Vikrant Massey. This heartwarming love story is directed by Santosh Singh and is now completed, with a planned release date of 2025.
In addition to this, Shanaya has an upcoming survival thriller titled “Tu Yaa Main” in production. She will star alongside Adarsh Gourav in the gripping narrative. The movie is planned for release on Valentine’s Day 2026. At present, the actress is busy filming a project with Abhay Verma and director Shujaat Saudagar.
