In the upcoming sci-fi action movie on Netflix titled “War Machine,” Reacher, played by Lee Tergesen, will continue to exert his significant influence. This film co-stars Hollywood legend Dennis Quaid, who is also appearing in a contrasting role in the western drama, “Broke,” alongside Wyatt Russell. According to Ritchson, it appears that the filming of “War Machine” was quite gritty for him.
Under the direction of Patrick Hughes (of ‘The Expendables 3’ fame), and co-written with James Beaufort, the film titled ‘War Machine‘ is set to unfold. As per the concise summary, ‘War Machine‘ narrates the story of the last trainees of an intense special ops training program who come face-to-face with a lethal force originating from beyond our world. Netflix has yet to reveal the official release date for this movie, but industry insiders speculate that it will premiere sometime in the latter part of this year.
As I chatted with George Edelman from MovieWeb about my new movie, “Broke”, I couldn’t help but slip in a playful peek behind the scenes of our previous project, “War Machine”. Compared to my high-octane co-star, the action-packed filming experience was as tranquil as a summer day at the park for me.
For two weeks, I had an incredible time in Australia, where I had the opportunity to play a pivotal role. Remarkably, my uniform remained spotless throughout. Alan was submerged almost entirely in mud, but he handled it superbly. It’s going to be thrilling to observe his progress in this!
Alan Ritchson Teased ‘War Machine’ as Netflix’s Biggest Movie Ever
Previously, Alan Ritchson expressed excitement for the upcoming film “War Machine,” even going so far as to label it one of Netflix’s most monumental productions yet. Whether this prediction holds true or not remains to be seen, but it’s difficult not to share in the actor’s infectious energy. In the past, Ritchson had mentioned:
I have almost nine new movies set for release, man, it’s unbelievable! One of them is War Machine on Netflix. I believe, and I’m breaking news here, that this movie will be the largest production Netflix has ever had. It’s going to be a colossal hit. This is undoubtedly their most impressive project yet.
Indeed, Ritchson isn’t limiting himself to just this movie, and he’s all set to reprise his role on Prime Video as Reacher for another season. Fans have even proposed him as a potential candidate for the next Batman, but given his busy schedule, it seems like a challenging proposition.
As a dedicated movie enthusiast, I’ve been keeping quite busy these days! You can catch me chilling on the small screen in the spine-tingling Paramount+ series, “Happy Face,” and the latest season of “Holy Marvels with Dennis Quaid.” On May 6, I’ll be gracing your screens in “Broke,” starring alongside Wyatt Russell and Tom Skerritt. If crime thrillers are more your thing, mark your calendars for June, as I team up with Nick Offerman and Jacob Tremblay in “Sovereign.” And just a tad after that, the much-anticipated “War Machine” is set to drop on Netflix!
