Nadaaniyan: Ibrahim Ali Khan rates his performance in debut movie with Khushi Kapoor; says, ‘social media is a hateful world…’

Ibrahim Ali Khan eventually chose to follow the acting path taken by his parents and sister, making his debut with the film Nadaaniyan. Following a blend of positive and negative feedback for his role in Nadaaniyan, Ibrahim Ali Khan reflected on his portrayal as Arjun Mehta in his initial film. In an interview with Filmfare, the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh admitted that there’s always room for improvement, but he’s content with where he is currently at this stage.

When asked to rate himself on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, Ibrahim replied, “I’m not sure. Maybe a three, or three and a half, neither too low nor too high.” Upon reevaluating the romantic comedy film, he expressed that viewers often have lofty expectations for what the movie should deliver.

Instead of becoming a grand movie, as some might have hoped, it was actually intended to be a delightful, casual romantic comedy perfect for relaxing on a Friday night in bed, according to him. Expressing his thoughts on the backlash the light-hearted production encountered online, he commented, “Sadly, social media can be quite hostile at times. They seemed to distort it quite a bit.

Ibrahim Ali Khan, Sara’s younger brother, acknowledged the increased responsibilities that come with being a leading actor. He understands that he needs to deliver more than he did previously. Yet, he is certain he can meet these expectations and will do so in future roles. However, he remains content with his past performance.

Ibrahim, along with Khushi Kapoor and other diligent team members, produced a delightful film for Netflix. While we acknowledge the criticism, working on it was a pleasure for me. The intention behind this project was to create something light-hearted and refreshing. In my opinion, it turned out well.
