As a devoted Disneyland Resort enthusiast, I can confidently say that it’s my favorite destination, hands down. It’s the park I find myself returning to time and again. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing every attraction multiple times, though I must admit, I’ve lost track of the exact count. Rest assured, if rubbing shoulders with celebrities is what you’re after, this is where you’ll find me!
Frequent theme park goer Matt Desmond, who’s likely ridden Disneyland’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure more times than most others, recently had an extraordinary adventure during one of his trips, as he shared a log with Rob Mcelhenney and Kaitlin Olson from the hit TV show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” He posted a picture from the ride as evidence, depicting a vehicle occupied by himself, the two celebrities, and their VIP tour guide.
It’s not uncommon to spot celebrities at Disneyland – many of them are big Disney enthusiasts just like us regular folks! Recently, Kat Dennings was spotted strolling through Avengers Campus. From Neil Patrick Harris to Rebel Wilson, there are plenty of self-proclaimed Disney Adults in the limelight. Sometimes they visit solo, but often celebrities such as Olson and McElhenney opt for a VIP tour guide to navigate the park without being overwhelmed by fans.
An integral part of VIP treatment often includes bypassing queues and having exclusive use of transportation, which usually means celebrities ride alone. So, finding another person in their vehicle is quite uncommon. It makes one speculate if his frequent visits to Tiuana’s Bayou Adventure (he claims he went 238 times) played a role in this unusual occurrence. Before posting the photo, it seems…
Just experienced an exciting log ride on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, accompanied by two famous personalities! Can’t wait to share the snapshot soon; this 238th trip was absolutely thrilling!
238 rides on the new attraction at Disneyland within just five months is truly remarkable. If someone had visited the park daily since its opening, they would have averaged over a ride per day, which speaks volumes about its popularity. Frequent splashing seems to double as a free laundry service in this case.
If I went on a Disneyland ride 238 times without encountering a celebrity at least once, I’d consider it an unfair experience given the odds. The law of averages suggests that such frequent visits should have resulted in meeting a celebrity by now. However, my encounters with celebrities are often due to my unique job, and not just casual park visits. One exceptional moment was sharing a ride on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run with one of the lead designers behind Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – that was definitely a celebrity experience for me, but I’m more of a theme park enthusiast than someone who seeks out celebrities.
