The movie “Nadaaniyan,” featuring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, faced considerable backlash online following its premiere. Some internet users criticized the acting abilities of both leads. About a month later, the newcomer has spoken up about the criticism on social media and acknowledged its power.
During a conversation with Filmfare, Ibrahim Ali Khan was questioned about the varied reactions towards his initial movie, Nadaaniyan. In response to this, the newcomer acknowledged reading the reviews, but he also conveyed joy over some viewers recognizing the qualities he contributed to the project.
He commented, “I’ve noticed various opinions on social media, and they can have a slightly mind-altering effect. Many of them are negative since that’s often how social media functions. However, it’s encouraging to see that many people appreciate what I might offer. I’m content with the reception I received from the film industry. I’m quite satisfied.
Beyond what I’ve already accomplished, I took a moment to reflect on my role in the Netflix movie. I acknowledged that there’s always room for improvement, but I also want to express how content I am with where I stand right now. It’s a journey, and I’m grateful for every step along the way.
During the discussion, Ibrahim mentioned that people often have extremely high hopes when they plan to watch a movie. However, he clarified that Nadaaniyan was not intended to be an epic or grand production. Instead, he referred to his film as a delightful and relaxed romantic comedy, perfect for unwinding on a Friday evening while cozying up in bed.
As a die-hard fan, I wholeheartedly acknowledge that there could’ve been more depth added to the movie, but boy, did they twist it up something fierce online!
He expressed confidence in his ability to use it again in upcoming endeavors, but also appreciated the experience as it was. Working alongside dedicated team members, they created a delightful movie, he noted. Regardless of the critiques, he derived pleasure from being part of the production process.
Ibrahim Ali Khan made his first appearance on screen as an actor, while Shauna Gautam began her journey as a director, in the movie titled Nadaaniyan. The main cast members included Khushi Kapoor, Jugal Hansraj, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Mahima Chaudhary.
