Once upon a time, as an ardent admirer, I found myself in the presence of the legendary Mushtaq Khan – Ballu from Welcome! In a private conversation, he shared an intriguing tale about none other than Salman Khan, a story that seldom sees the light of day.

While the world is well-versed with the tales of Salman’s relationships, especially his time with Sangeeta Bijlani, Mushtaq granted me a fascinating peek into that part of his life’s tapestry – an untold piece of history!

In a recent conversation I had with Filmy Mantra, as reported by The Times of India, I was asked an intriguing question regarding Salman and Sangeeta Bijlani. As his long-time devotee, I can confidently share my insight: I’ve never witnessed Sangeeta ji dropping by the set to visit him, but there was one exception. While we were filming Welcome in Dubai, Salman himself paid a visit to the hotel where we were staying.

A particular moment stood out for Mushtaq, who has been involved in many significant film productions. Notably, the 2007 movie “Welcome” with Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar, boasting an energetic ensemble including Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar, was one of those moments. Interestingly enough, we’ve just learned that Salman wasn’t a cast member but made an appearance during the shooting in Dubai!

In my narrative, I reminisce about a piece of wisdom shared by the esteemed Salim Khan, the man who guided Salman Khan’s early career. He once told me, “Encourage Salman Khan to work in theater; it will help him open up and learn acting.” This statement underscores Salim Khan’s belief in the power of theater as a cornerstone for exceptional acting skills.
