Amazon Cuts ‘Citadel’ Spin-Offs, Sets New Release Date

Following rumors that the continuation of “Citadel” on Prime Video was uncertain due to a leadership change at Amazon MGM Studios, it looks like the series will indeed make a comeback in 2026. Yet, it appears it will be standing alone, as both spin-offs have been scrapped and their narratives are now being integrated into “Citadel” Season 2, which is facing its own challenges.

On a Wednesday morning briefing, the Co-Head of Television at Amazon MGM Studios, Vernon Sanders, disclosed that Season 2 of “Citadel” is expected to air during the second quarter of next year, whereas both “Citadel: Honey Bunny” and “Citadel: Diana” have been put on hold. Here’s what he said:
