Dia Mirza recalls ‘shaking’ and ‘vomiting’ after shooting ’emotionally and physically demanding’ r*pe scene in Kaafir

In a 2019 web series named “Kaafir,” Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina played main roles. Lately, this series has been remade into a movie on Zee5. During an interview, the actress mentioned that she experienced shaking and vomiting following the shooting of a particularly intense and challenging rape scene in the Sonam Nair production.

Recently, Dia Mirza reminisced about the process of making the drama-thriller, Kaafir. During an interview with News 18 about the TV series turned movie released on OTT platforms, she admitted that filming the disturbing rape scene was extremely challenging. She revealed, “I was trembling physically once we completed filming that scene. I can still recall feeling nauseous; I even threw up after we wrapped up shooting the entire sequence.

The actress from Nadaaniyan likewise shared that the scenarios were both mentally and physically taxing. Similarly, Mirza stated that fully immersing oneself into the reality of a moment intensifies the experience.

In the very same conversation, she also disclosed to the media outlet that they were creating their scenes in one of Himachal’s most enchantingly scenic locales. Given that they were recording approximately 15 to 24 minutes of springtime daily, the working hours were demanding and tiring.
