Lindsay Lohan is set to topline her first scripted TV series.
Actress Lohan is slated to appear in an upcoming drama titled “Count My Lies“, which is currently being developed by Hulu. The venture originates from 20th Television and the former showrunners of “This Is Us“, Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The storyline is adapted from a novel penned by Sophie Stava. Additionally, Lohan will serve as an executive producer for this project.
Unraveling Lies revolves around chronic fabricator Sloane Caraway, who deceives her way into employment as a nanny for the captivating and magnetic duo, Violet and Jay Lockhart. The series’ tagline hints, “It appears she has finally achieved her dream job.” However, unbeknownst to Sloane, she’s stepped into a household teeming with secrets ready to detonate – with possible disastrous repercussions for everyone involved.
Sources tell THR Lohan is set to play Violet Lockhart.
If “Count My Lies” gets picked up for broadcast or streaming, it would mark Lindsay Lohan’s debut as the main character in a TV series. Previously, she has made appearances on various shows such as “Ugly Betty,” “Eastbound & Down,” “2 Broke Girls,” and “Glee,” where she portrayed herself.
Lohan is set to appear in Disney’s upcoming movie titled “Freakier Friday“, a sequel to the 2003 film of the same name, which is scheduled for release in August. Some of her recent works include roles in Netflix films like “Our Little Secret“, “Irish Wish“, and “Falling for Christmas“, as well as a guest appearance in last year’s musical adaptation of “Mean Girls“.
Writers Aptaker and Berger are working on the show titled “Count My Lies“, which they will oversee as executive producers under their company, Walk-Up Company. This company has an all-encompassing agreement with 20th TV. In addition to this, Lindsay Lohan and Scott Morgan from The Walk-Up Company are also serving as executive producers. The author Stava is involved in the production of the show.
Lohan is represented by IAG, Dave Feldman, and Vision PR; Aptaker and Berger are associated with CAA, Entertainment 360, and Hansen Jacobson. Stava is represented by CAA and Elisabeth Weed from The Book Group.
