Outlander Prequel Release Date Revealed! You Won’t Believe When!

Fans looking forward to Season 8 of the popular historical drama “Outlander” can now mark their calendars for August 8, 2025, as the prequel series, titled “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” will be premiering on Starz then. This new series, similar to its predecessor in having dual timelines, aims to narrate the story of Jamie Fraser and Claire Beauchamp’s parents. Unlike “Outlander”, which is adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s existing stories, “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” is an original production by Starz.

Beginning August 8th, the first season of “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” created by Matthew B. Roberts, will commence, with each episode airing weekly on Fridays. In the 18th century Scotland setting, Harriet Slater and Jamie Roy portray Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, while Claire’s World War I parents are played by Hermione Corfield as Julia Moriston and Jeremy Irvine as Henry Beauchamp. To coincide with the announcement of the series release date, two new posters were also unveiled (see below), hinting at some romantic moments in the show, which, going by the synopsis, appears to be another grand chapter in the ongoing storyline.

In the chaotic battlefields of World War I and the picturesque Scottish Highlands from the 18th century, Outlander: Blood of My Blood offers a glimpse into two heartwarming love stories. These passionate romances are fueled by loyalty, desire, and resilience as the young pairs bravely challenge obstacles that threaten to separate them.
