Gauri Khan’s Restaurant Issues Statement After YouTuber Alleges Serving Fake Paneer

Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan is highly esteemed in the film industry and boasts a large fan base. Typically, he makes headlines due to his endeavors, humility, and positive reasons. However, this time around, news about him has surfaced for an unexpected reason: allegations against his wife Gauri Khan’s upscale restaurant Torii that it serves fake paneer. Now, their team has addressed the issue by releasing a statement to clear up the matter.

Recently, social media influencer and YouTube personality, Sarthak Sachdeva, shared a video which has been gaining widespread attention. In the video, he accused Torii of selling fake paneer.

Currently, the official account of the restaurant has responded to this issue by commenting on the video and stating, “The iodine test indicates starch, not the authenticity of the paneer. Given that the dish includes soy-based components, such a reaction is anticipated. We remain committed to the purity of our paneer and the quality of our ingredients at Torii.

In the video, Sarthak Sachdeva is caught checking out popular eateries associated with famous personalities. He samples the paneer in various dishes by conducting an iodine test to verify its quality. For those who might not know, if the paneer reacts and turns shades of black or blue when exposed to iodine, it suggests that starch is present in it.

The YouTube content creator visited Virat Kohli’s One8 Commune, Shilpa Shetty’s Bastian, and Bobby Deol’s Someplace Else to evaluate the quality of the paneer they served. Not a single sample from the dishes turned black, suggesting that there was no starch present.

Yet, upon his visit to Gauri Khan’s eatery Torii, he discovered that the paneer had a blue-black tint when tested, which signified the presence of starch on the cheese.

Upon discovering that, Sarthak exclaimed, “The paneer at Shah Rukh Khan’s restaurant was fake. This discovery startled me.
