Just like Preity Zinta, my admiration for Yuzvendra Chahal runs deep, and I’ve long harbored dreams of having him as part of my team. Following Yuzvendra Chahal’s impressive display against Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders during IPL 2025, Preity Zinta shared her admiration for the Indian spinner on X (previously Twitter). In a heartfelt message, the Soldier actress disclosed that she first encountered Yuzi in 2009. At that time, she was unfamiliar with cricket, while he was a promising under-19 cricketer.
Zinta wrote, “Comparing then and now – my encounter with Yuzi was at the Kings Cup in 2009, Chandigarh. I was just getting into cricket back then, while he was a promising under-19 player. Since then, I’ve watched him grow and make a significant impact in the cricketing world.” She also shared some vintage photos with the renowned cricketer.

As a devoted fan, I’ve long admired the spirit of competition this spinner exudes. I’ve always dreamt of having them on my side. Yet, somehow, our paths never crossed astrologically until today.

Previously, RJ Mahvash posted on her Instagram Stories and praised Chahal for breaking records at the current cricket tournament. She reposted a photo with the athlete and captioned it, “What an exceptionally talented individual. The top wicket-taker for good reason. Impossible!” As per online users, the radio jockey also sent him a bouquet of red roses as a gesture of admiration.
Returning to Preity Zinta, the actress will soon appear alongside Sunny Deol in the forthcoming historical action movie, Lahore 1947, helmed by director Rajkumar Santoshi.
