Avengers Team Up With Doom’s Worst Nightmares!

Marvel’s ongoing “One World Under Doom” storyline has Doctor Doom seizing control over the entire globe, prompting the Sorcerer Supreme to attempt resistance against this global dominion. A hint of this unusual new world order surfaces in Avengers #25, as a fresh incarnation of the Masters of Evil emerges to challenge Doom.

In the 25th issue of Avengers, the creative team consisting of writer Jed MacKay, artists Valerio Schiti and Federico Blee, and letterer Cory Petit, seamlessly incorporate the Avengers into the “One World Under Doom” event. Prior to this, the team had been wrapped up in a storyline that wasn’t directly linked to the planet-altering consequences of Doom’s conquest. As seasoned comic book readers are aware, it’s often challenging to align multiple series with the Marvel Universe’s overall continuity due to varying timelines (for instance, five issues of one comic might occur within a single day, while an issue of another could span over a year).

RISE OF THE ALL-NEW, ALL-DIFFERENT MASTERS OF EVIL!

Meanwhile, as the Avengers engage with Doom, a fresh wave of the Masters of Evil makes their move in this expansive 25th edition!

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$4.99

Initially, in the previews, we find the Avengers engaged in a battle against Doom, interestingly allied with villains to confront him. However, most of the sneak peeks focus on the Mad Thinker assembling a new group of baddies, which he calls the Masters of Evil. This particular incarnation of the Masters is built around the concept that Doom’s domination of the planet is justified as being for “good” causes, so any opposition to him would be considered “evil.” Consequently, they are referred to as the Masters of Evil.

In their latest incarnation, The Masters of Evil comprises The Mad Thinker, Mister Hyde, Dreadknight, Madcap, and Exterminatrix. Each member has a unique motive for targeting Doom, with Dreadknight being the most apparent as he hails from Latveria and has past grievances against Doom. With their alliance now formed, the question remains: can they truly challenge Doom? As for the Avengers, you’ll have to read the upcoming Avengers #25 to find out more!
