How to Farm Thundering Fulgurite in Monster Hunter Wilds

In the vast open world of Monster Hunter Wilds, numerous items and resources are scattered about. Skilled hunters should constantly collect items during their expeditions to ensure they have sufficient essential components and crafting materials on hand. These designated items as “treasures” cannot be employed to create new armor or weapons. Instead, acquiring a treasure will grant you Hunter’s Guild Points. You can then barter these treasures with specific characters for valuable rewards.

Discovering a Thunderous Fulgurite is a special, seldom-encountered prize. Without knowing its whereabouts, you might wander the wilderness for quite some time before accidentally coming across this elusive item. Follow this guide to learn the most efficient method to locate and gather Thundering Fulgurite in Monster Hunter Wilds.

(Note: I’ve changed “Farm” to “gather” as it sounds more natural and less like farming crops)

Thundering Fulgurite Explained in Monster Hunter Wilds

In the expansive Windward Plains, particularly Area 3, there exists a unique form of Fulgurite – the Thundering Fulgurite. These vibrant blue crystals are not just geological wonders but valuable items that can earn you Guild Points and serve as tradeable assets. The Thundering Fulgurite is essentially stone residue that gets struck by lightning during the tempestuous storms of the Windward Plains. Noteworthy, these special Fulgurites only manifest under specific circumstances and can be exchanged with Kilama in Kunafa.

Make your way to Windward Plains Base Camp, afterwards retreat to your tent for some rest (which will cost 500 Guild Points post-first major update in Monster Hunter Wilds). Remember to adjust the environment to Fallow and the time to Nighttime as these conditions trigger the “Thundering Fulgurite Emergence” event. After resting, consult your map and examine the Environment Overview for the necessary details.

In this game, a unique occurrence known as the “Thundering Fulgurite Emergence” might kick off instantly and show up on the right side of your screen. If it doesn’t, look for it under the Environment Overview section to check upcoming events. If it’s further down the list, you’ll have to wait for it to cycle through the earlier events.

Remember, the Thundering Fulgurite Emergence is quite rare, so you may need to rest multiple times before it happens. When the event starts, click on it in the list, and all the Fulgurite Veins will be marked on your map. Hop on your Seikret and ride towards those veins to gather some hard-to-find Thundering Fulgurite!

Upper Area 3 Thundering Fulgurite

In the upper region of Area 3, there’s a possibility that one of the Booming Fulgurite Veins could appear. If your character’s auto-travel stops at the edge of a nearby cliff, you’ll have to jump to get it. To glide down, press R2/RT on console or Z on PC. This area is also beneficial for discovering Mining Outcrops and other useful items in Monster Hunter Wilds.
