TaylorMade, a golf equipment manufacturer, has recently introduced the R7 Quad Mini Driver – a club that seamlessly combines traditional charm with contemporary technology. Taking cues from the legendary R7 driver launched in 2004, this mini driver aspires to recapture that enchanting essence for enthusiastic amateurs, whilst simultaneously providing a genuine contender for top-tier professionals in tournament play.
The original R7 model was renowned for its innovative adjustable weights, a game-changing characteristic at that time. The freshly introduced R7 Quad Mini revives this concept with its refined Quad Weighting System. This empowers golfers to finesse the club by altering the position of weights in distinct openings on the clubhead, thus allowing them to manage spin, distance, and shot trajectory. Additionally, the Infinity Carbon Crown, a contemporary enhancement, lessens weight at the top of the club for improved performance, while also adding an aesthetically pleasing touch.
In addition, TaylorMade incorporated their innovative Twist Face and Speed Pocket technologies. To put it simply, Twist Face is engineered to keep the ball going straight even when hits are slightly off-center. On the other hand, the Speed Pocket enables the clubface to bend more, thereby generating additional ball speed, particularly on low-impact shots.
The R7 Quad Mini Driver is now up for pre-sale at a price of $480 USD, and it will be officially on sale starting May 1st. It offers two loft options: 11.5° and 13.5°. Notably, its design incorporates black with red, white, and yellow accents, echoing the style of the original club.
