Jacob Elordi “Was Going to Take a Break” Before ‘Wuthering Heights’ Director Texted Him

Jacob Elordi had planned on taking a break, but then the chance for Wuthering Heights presented itself.

Filming for “Wuthering Heights” recently concluded in the U.K., marking Elordi’s second collaboration with director Emerald Fennell (known for “Promising Young Woman” and “The Danish Girl”). As a result, during the casting process for this project, Elordi was exempt from going through auditions due to his prior working relationship with Fennell, dating back to the 2023 production of “Saltburn”.

It turned out quite fortunate for me. I had planned to rest for a bit, but then unexpectedly, Emerald reached out to me via text message, and one can hardly ignore such a communication,” Elordy shared with IndieWire.

The movie features Margot Robbie alongside Elordi, and it’s a film adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel with the same title. This story explores the stormy romance between Catherine Earnshaw (played by Robbie) and Heathcliff (portrayed by Elordi). Their relationship, marked by deep passion and intensity, begins at Wuthering Heights and significantly affects their respective families.

As a gamer, I’d share it like this: “I’ve had the privilege of working side by side with the Barbie actress in our latest project. Let me tell you, she absolutely shines on screen! I can hardly wait for everyone to see it. She’s an electrifying performer and has poured so much passion into her role.

Elordi is set to release Guillermo del Toro’s version of “Frankenstein” later this year, and he’s currently filming the much-awaited third season of “Euphoria” on HBO. Simultaneously, Robbie is appearing in “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,” a movie where she collaborates with Colin Farrell, which will be released in September.

I can’t wait for next February when “Wuthering Heights” will be unveiled by Warner Bros., produced by my buddy Robbie’s production house, LuckyChap Entertainment!
