Shabana Azmi, a well-known actress, has shared insights about her marriage with renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar. She reminisced that some people who viewed her as a ‘symbol of feminism’ were surprised by their union, as she felt it was somewhat like ‘trampling on’ Honey Irani’s rights for her own happiness, according to her perspective.

Instead, she chose to remain silent, a move she now refers to as ‘remarkably wise’. She further mentioned that the negative comments gradually subsided.

Shabana shared insights about her relationship with Honey Irani, Javed Akhtar’s former wife, and praised both Honey and the lyricist. She acknowledged that people often feel compelled to clear up misunderstandings, but she chose not to provide explanations in this case, viewing it as a prudent move.
