Babil Khan is basking in the admiration for his latest movie, Logout. Unlike many actors, Babil has chosen to keep his social media genuine, avoiding promotional posts. In an interview with Screen, Babil shared a memorable story: he once tossed his phone into the sea during a holiday when a company contacted him for work. He prefers to focus on the now and, unlike his character in Logout, isn’t excessively tied to social media.

During his trip to the Andamans, Babil Khan narrated an extraordinary event. He mentioned that on one occasion, he had tossed his phone into the sea upon receiving a call from a company demanding his immediate return for work duties.

At that point, he was enjoying a scuba dive, but found the sudden interruption disruptive to his wish to fully immerse himself in the experience. Instead of responding, he spontaneously threw his phone into the water, maintaining it was a genuine action.

As a self-determined individual, I pondered more about my perspective, asserting that I choose to live according to my own rules, refusing to let others control my decisions. Highlighting my genuine emotions, I expressed that I immerse myself deeply in life’s experiences – joy, sorrow, and even anger. Although I consider myself reserved, I am not afraid to embrace living fully.

In “Logout,” Babil Khan takes on the role of a popular social media personality. This gripping cyber-thriller is skillfully directed by Amit Golani, and is written by Biswapati Sarkar. Vipin Agnihotri is responsible for its production.

The film explores the grim truths behind internet stardom and the psychological toll of constant connectivity. Starring Rasika Dugal, Gandharv Dewan, and Nimisha Nair, it made its debut on ZEE5 on April 18th.

During an interview with Connected to India, Babil shared insights about the main concept of his work titled “Logout”. He emphasized that this story mirrors our contemporary society’s excessive dependence on smartphones and underscores the fact that social media often serves as a digital representation of one’s self-identity.

In simpler terms, the Qala actor explained that the story revolves around the main character’s intense desire to be accepted by others. Babil pointed out that the character trades personal value and kindness towards himself for approval from internet viewers, eventually losing touch with who he truly is.

In discussing his decision to star in The Railway Men, the actor explained that he found the plot compelling due to its exploration of a timeless and culturally universal topic: the struggle for self-validation that people often face in various societies.
