After a highly anticipated first performance at Coachella last week, Enhyphen has now completed two mesmerizing sets on the Sahara stage, and these performances were even more special because they wore custom outfits designed by the New York-based fashion label, Who Decides War.

War by Denim, known for their innovative denim designs that incorporate garment distressing and multi-phase hand-dyeing techniques, was founded in 2016 by Everard Best and Tela D’Amore. They have since garnered industry attention, being named semi-finalists for the 2024 LVMH Prize and finalists for the 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. Furthermore, their designs were showcased during the first week of Coachella, with Zedd wearing a unique War by Denim piece on stage at the Outdoor Theatre.

Working together with the visual team of the seven-member K-pop group, we jointly designed unique outfits to reflect and embody their distinctive identity through fashion. Best and D’Amore stated, “For this project, we envisioned a capsule collection for Enhypen, creating outfits tailored to each member based on their otherworldly theme as our inspiration.

In unique sketches exclusively given to The Hollywood Reporter, the individual styles of the group members are vividly depicted. Who Decides War crafted exclusive artwork for this collection, added innovative design elements such as “spider web stitching” on selected denim items, and reinvented iconic Who Decides War pieces like the bullet point vest and bondage jeans. Heeseung expresses his gratitude for the custom outfits prepared by Who Decides War. “I hope we can pull off these looks nicely,” he said before the performance.

For the first week of their appearances at Coachella, Enhypen sported denim and Western-inspired ensembles that aligned with the festival’s desert atmosphere. However, for week two, the group opted for a darker, more street-style aesthetic to reflect their vampire concept. According to Jungwon, the leader of the group, these outfits have a vampire-like feel and are more conceptual in nature. He also notes that they feature bolder colors, allowing Enhypen to express an entirely different vibe.

In the first week, Gunhee Lee, our visual creative director, aimed for a refined appearance that would grab attention as global artists. However, week two took a different route. The decision to partner with Who Decides War was strategic: “Our goal was to transition to a more intimate style, something that mirrors our personality and boosts our confidence.

Week two’s fittings progressed seamlessly as various participants appreciated how well the attire matched their personal fashion tastes. “Since these ensembles resemble what I usually wear, my enthusiasm for our performance grew even stronger when I first saw them,” shares Ni-ki, a fan of the brand. “I’m thrilled that we had the opportunity to collaborate with a brand I admire.

Jake concurred, expressing his gratitude for the designs that aligned perfectly with their initial idea. Upon trying on the sleek red leather jacket for the first time, it resonated strongly with his personal style, leaving him content. He believes they are well-equipped to deliver a show unlike any from week one.

When asked about which Coachella song best complements their individual outfits, Jungwon responds that “Daydream” seems to fit his ensemble the best due to its trendy feel. On the other hand, Jay picks their 2022 track “Blessed-Cursed,” stating that the costumes have a rock music aesthetic, and Sunghoon believes his leather jacket coordinates well with “Blockbuster.

Ni-ki expresses his belief that the costumes harmonize with the first four tracks on the playlist, “since they suit powerful tunes really well.

The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement during both weeks at Coachella, as they eagerly anticipated another incredible show.

The energy was electric throughout the two Coachella events, with everyone ready for another extraordinary performance.

Or simply:

Both Coachella weekends were filled with anticipation for an exceptional performance. The atmosphere was electrifying!

Sunoo confesses that they were quite anxious during the first week, but managed to deliver a flawless performance without significant problems and enjoyed interacting with their fans. I can’t wait to reveal a fresh aspect of ourselves to our fans in week two.

Sunghoon muses, “We’ve conquered week one triumphantly, and I am swelling with pride over it. We aim to maintain that momentum and pour all of our effort into the coming week.” Heeseung echoes his thoughts: “We’re deeply appreciative for the affection shown during week one, and we’re striving hard to ready ourselves for those eagerly awaiting our next show.

Enhypen left fans in awe during their first performance week, and they continued to stun them by revealing unexpected new music through a livestream on June 5th. The group will kick off the North American part of their ongoing “Walk the Line” tour in August, with tickets available for pre-sale via Ticketmaster starting April 23rd.
