Shah Rukh Khan is highly respected as one of the top actors within his profession. Known as a Bollywood legend, he boasts a vast fanbase not just in India but globally. Over the years, SRK has produced numerous box office successes. He teamed up with well-known director Rohit Shetty for Chennai Express, which achieved tremendous success. However, their subsequent film together, Dilwale, failed to meet expectations, sparking rumors of a dispute between them following its underperformance at the box office. Recently, Rohit addressed these gossips and denied them. Furthermore, he expressed that they both maintain mutual respect for each other.
In a recent conversation with Komal Nahta on his Game Changers podcast, Rohit Shetty dismissed rumors of a rift with Shah Rukh Khan following the underperformance of Dilwale, stating, “No such thing exists.
He said, ‘There’s mutual respect between us and following Dilwale, we took the step of opening our own production house. We decided to produce our own films, shouldering any potential losses ourselves, although there was no loss with Dilwale.’
In addition, the director mentioned that Dilwale became extremely popular outside of India. To clarify for those who may not know, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan produced Diwali under their production house, Red Chilies Entertainment.
During the same interview, Rohit also spoke candidly about forming strong connections within the industry and mentioned that he has a particularly close bond with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone. He further stated that he views Ajay as an older brother to him. Regarding Deepika, he disclosed that she completed the final shoot for Singham Again while four months pregnant and commented, “such relationships don’t come by often.
In terms of his professional life, Shah Rukh Khan is set to appear next in a movie titled King. This film will feature his daughter Suhana Khan as well. The film’s direction is handled by Siddharth Anand, and it also includes Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma in significant roles.
