A few days back, TopMob ran a fan poll to choose their preferred character of Akshay Kumar from the last ten years. The contest had five options, and the audience overwhelmingly favored Kumar’s performance as C. Sankaran Nair in Kesari Chapter 2, making it the clear winner. Here are the poll results!
In the survey, about one-third of participants chose Akshay Kumar’s performance as C. Sankaran Nair in Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, this historical courtroom drama is based on the life of the Indian lawyer and statesman who significantly impacted events following the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
In the second spot stood DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, garnering the affection of over 27% of the populace. For those unaware, Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again saw Khiladi Kumar embody a dedicated police officer. This high-octane spectacle also boasts Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Shweta Tiwari, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and other notable actors in pivotal roles.
In the third spot for the popular vote, both Lakshmi Kant Chauhan from Pad Man and Rakesh Dhawan from Mission Mangal are currently tied. It seems that approximately 16% of voters believe these two memorable roles portrayed by Akshay Kumar deserve the win in this poll.
In an unexpected turn, the well-known Bollywood actor was portrayed as Lakshmi Kant Chauhan in a film. This character was modeled after the life and hardships faced by social activist and businessman, Arunachalam Muruganantham. The movie, which was a box office success under the direction of R. Balki, also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor.
