Actors Vaani Kapoor and Fawad Khan are set to appear together in the upcoming romantic movie titled Abir Gulaal. Already, promotional materials are being released, fueling the anticipation among fans even further. Prior to the film’s premiere, both stars have shared their working experiences with each other.
On Monday, April 21st, the creators of Abir Gulaal held a spectacular music launch event in Dubai. Additionally, Vaani Kapoor and Fawad Khan conducted a fun Instagram Live session, engaging with their audience. When prompted about her film-working experience, the actress expressed gratitude for being given the opportunity to contribute to it.
Vaani explained that she felt fortunate, as their on-screen connection with co-actor Fawad Khan seemed natural. She attributed this to the fact that her energy and rhythm closely matched her character, Gulaal, and Fawad Khan appeared equally convincing in his role as Abir.
She expressed that it seemed very natural and enjoyable for her, as she chatted quite a bit, yet he showed remarkable patience. He’s an excellent listener, she emphasized, even when he was listening attentively in that moment. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor concurred with her sentiments.
Besides sharing her enthusiasm for teaming up with Khan once more due to his laid-back nature and absence of ego issues, Vaani further noted that he was a pleasure to work with, as evidenced by Fawad’s description using the word ‘amazing.’ In good humor, the actress from Raid 2 jokingly admitted that she merely put up with Khan, which left him in fits of laughter.
He said with a chuckle, “Now, let me confess, I was just joking around (I was lying). It’s been such a delight working with you. Truly, you’re a remarkable individual, a real treasure.
Since the movie’s announcement, Abir Gulaal has faced substantial backlash, with various political figures advocating for its prohibition due to the inclusion of Fawad Khan, a Pakistani actor.
Directed by Aarti S Bagdi, Abir Gulaal is set to release on May 9, 2025.
