Bhumi Pednekar, who has been active in the film industry for nearly a decade, is preparing to make her first appearance on a streaming platform. The upcoming Netflix series “The Royals”, set to premiere on May 9, 2025, will be her debut in the world of web series. In a recent conversation, she shared that she turned down several other shows because she didn’t feel the same connection with them as she did with “The Royals”.

In a conversation with HT, Bhumi Pednekar disclosed that multiple web series offers were presented to her earlier, which eventually became big hits, yet she decided against accepting them.

She shared that even though those ventures were remarkable, they didn’t stir within her the same emotional bond as The Royals did. In her opinion, this choice also signified the types of roles she desired during that phase of her professional journey.

Bhumi openly disclosed that her agreement to join The Royals project wasn’t solely based on the script, but also on the type of story it was going to tell. She passionately declared her affection for romantic comedies, stating it as her absolute favorite genre, and further mentioned her belief that not enough of these heartwarming stories are being produced nowadays.

Reflecting on the moment she initially read the manuscript, she disclosed that she had been admitted to the hospital due to dengue fever then. However, as soon as she began reading it, she found herself unable to stop.

The Royal Series offers a delightful blend of romance and humor, with a unique perspective on love in the royal setting. This show will keep you engaged as it explores the dynamic between two distinct realms, creating both excitement and conflict.
