In an interview with Shubhankar Mishra, Nushrratt Bharuccha acknowledged being subjected to criticism for visiting temples as a Muslim, as well as comments about her attire. She admitted to encountering such criticisms. Moreover, she mentioned that she experiences backlash not just over her religion and beliefs, but also her career choices, personal thoughts, and numerous other aspects of her life.
In her own words, the actress from Pyaar Ka Punchnama stated that the best response to criticism is to have a strong self-awareness. She emphasized that when individuals possess self-confidence and faith in a higher power, they become impervious to negative opinions.
Nushrratt added that her connection with God is deep and pure.
When queried about whether remarks like these trouble her, she confessed that such comments don’t impact her, because she thinks it’s just their perspective.
The actress from Chhorii 2 stated, “It won’t affect my beliefs. I’m not saying I won’t go to the temple in the future. I’m also not saying I won’t pray afterwards. I will do both, because this is my faith.
Regardless of the situation, my identity remains unchanged. Tomorrow, I might still choose to visit a temple and then proceed to offer prayers afterward, as it aligns with my beliefs.
Nushrratt Bharuccha expressed that her faith runs deep, finding tranquility in various sacred spaces. Consistently, she prays and maintains the view that there is a single deity who can be reached through multiple avenues.
