On Tuesday evening, Carlos Santana‘s concert in San Antonio was rescheduled due to the acclaimed guitarist being admitted to the hospital because of dehydration, as his representative announced on Tuesday.
Tonight, Santana was scheduled to perform at San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre, but unfortunately, his manager, Michael Vrionis, shared that Santana had been admitted for observation following an incident during rehearsals. Medical professionals diagnosed him with dehydration.

In order to ensure Mr. Santana’s health, it was deemed necessary to delay the performance. He is in good condition and eagerly anticipates returning to San Antonio shortly, as well as carrying on with his US Tour. We appreciate your patience as we work out a new date for the show.
Santana’s representatives are urging ticket holders to keep their tickets, promising to announce the rescheduled date soon. Apart from Tuesday’s concert, Santana has performances scheduled for Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday this week. At this point, Santana’s team hasn’t clarified whether the recent incident will affect any of these additional shows.
The tour cancellation occurred only a few days following Santana’s launch of the Oneness Tour 2025 on April 16 at Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, California. He had performed additional shows too, specifically on April 18 at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix and on April 19 at the Isleta Amphitheater in Albuquerque.
It’s not a new occurrence that Santana has delayed performances due to dehydration. In fact, he once collapsed on stage in 2022, leading to the cancellation of six shows, with Vrionis stating that Santana was recuperating from heat-related exhaustion at the time.
