Logout’s Babil finds it ‘too scary’ to star in dad Irrfan Khan’s biopic; ‘My dada was someone…’

Since the passing of beloved Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, his son Babil Khan has often shared heartfelt tributes on social media. The rising star, who’s currently basking in the praise for his latest cyber thriller release, Logout, has expressed interest in portraying his father in a biopic. Although he finds the idea esteemed, Babil confessed that it seems daunting to him at this moment. Continue reading!

Babil Khan got involved with the movie world through his parents, Irrfan Khan and Sutapa Sikdar, who are both in the film industry. Originally intending to pursue a career in sports, he began acting with the 2022 release of Qala. Given his talent, some people think it would be interesting to see him portray his father in a biopic. When asked about this possibility by Wion News, Babil expressed that the idea is currently intimidating for him.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: In our conversation, The Railway Men actor confided, “I’d certainly consider it an honor, but truthfully, the idea is terrifying to me at the moment.” He also opened up that his ‘dada’ was someone who navigated through the same darkness I mentioned, at just 26 years old.

As per Babil, Irrfan Khan immersed himself deeply in these concepts throughout his lifetime, which may be the reason he convincingly portrayed a variety of roles onscreen without appearing to age.

The actor from “Friday Night Plan” mentioned that it was hard to guess his co-star’s age, as his father could have been anywhere between 100 and 20 years old. Furthermore, the deceased Bollywood artist didn’t rely on visual effects, allowing him to convincingly portray a ruthless murderer and a deeply emotional lover without much difficulty.

Returning to the topic of Babil’s film on Zee5, titled Logout, this production immerses viewers into a grim digital landscape where an excessive reliance on social media and smartphones negatively impacts individuals’ mental and physical health. Overseeing this project is director Amit Golani, with notable performances from Rasika Dugal, Gandharv Dewan, and Nimisha Nair in pivotal roles.
