As a die-hard fan of the talented Krish Rao, who brought Pargat Singh to life in Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, imagine my delight when he revealed the reason behind his absence at the movie’s theater premiere. Krish, still only 16 years old, explained that due to the ‘A’ rating given by the Central Board of Film Certification in India, his parents were the ones who got to see his debut film on the big screen, not him. Being an A-rated film, it is intended for mature audiences over 18, often containing adult themes, strong language, intense violence or explicit scenes unsuitable for younger viewers.
Despite missing out on watching his performance on the silver screen, Krish held onto the precious moments he spent working on this project, particularly alongside acting legend Akshay Kumar. In an exclusive chat with TopMob, he expressed his joy and fulfillment, stating, “It’s a dream come true for me to work with him!

Krish shared some thoughts about making Kesari 2 with Bollywood Hungama. Recalling his initial day on a large movie set, he described it as “an emotional rollercoaster”. He admitted feeling a blend of emotions that day – excitement, happiness, and a touch of nervousness. Entering the set was like watching a dream come true for him. Despite this being his first big-budget Hindi film, Krish immediately felt a strong bond with the Kesari project and the character of Pargat Singh.
One of the standout moments in Krish’s career was receiving assistance from Akshay Kumar on set. In an interview, Krish disclosed, “I had often heard stories about how entertaining, gracious, and approachable Akshay sir is. Getting to witness that personally was a delightful experience. What left a lasting impression was his dedication – he would watch every scene filmed each day, and the next day, he’d offer me praise for my performance.”
In addition, Krish also spoke about the rigorous action training he underwent at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios to ready himself for the intense sequences portraying the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy. Filming at historical locations such as Dehradun and Delhi lent an air of authenticity to the production, although Rao admitted that the tight shooting schedule did not allow him much time to discover the cities.
