Ready or Not, VOID Interactive’s tactical first-person shooter, is finally coming to console.
Since 2021, players have had the chance to enjoy this game on their computers. It first emerged as an early-access version prior to its complete release which happened in 2023, exactly two years later.
Similar to games like SWAT, Six Days in Fallujah, and Insurgency, the game Ready or Not emphasizes authentic gameplay and tactical planning. This means that players must collaborate effectively and make swift, well-thought-out choices.
So, when can we expect it to land on PlayStation and Xbox? Here’s what we know so far!
Ready or Not Console Release Date
As a thrilled gamer, I can’t contain my excitement as the release of “Ready or Not” has been confirmed for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S this summer! Yet, we are still awaiting the official date for its arrival.
During the Twitch Galaxies Showcase held on April 17th, VOID Interactive unveiled a teaser trailer for an exciting new console development, providing curious players with a sneak peek at what’s to come.
In the fictional town of Los Sueños, there has been a significant increase in violent crimes. The movie Ready or Not portrays SWAT teams dealing with numerous high-risk hostage scenarios, active bomb scares, barricaded suspects, and other criminal incidents.
On VOID’s official website, there’s an announcement page where it is stated that players assume the position of an LSPD SWAT Commander. This role allows them to customize their team by selecting individuals with distinct abilities, issuing strategic commands, carefully strategizing, and executing missions.
In the realm of Ready or Not, personalization plays a pivotal role, providing gamers with an expansive selection of customization choices that become accessible as they advance in the game, ranging from modifying characters’ appearances to enhancing their weaponry.
It’s worth mentioning that when the game “Ready or Not” is launched on console, crossplay will be fully enabled, allowing squads of up to five players to join missions from different platforms. For those who prefer a single-player experience, the option to team up with AI companions is also available.
