Interestingly enough, the design on the surface was claimed to be an unlimited energy production scheme. This deception granted Krennic near limitless financial resources, as anyone scrutinizing would find a seemingly harmless project that they wouldn’t delve deeper into. Not even those close to Krennic were privy to the full truth; they were bound by secrecy oaths. Now, we understand how the Empire managed to conceal such a colossal engineering endeavor.

And It May Tie Into An Upcoming Star Wars Film
In summary, during Leida Mothma’s wedding on Chandrila, there was a revelation about a statue named Chandi Merle, one of twelve statues that were taken from Chandrilla by an ancient civilization called the Rakata around 25,000 years ago. The Rakata, first introduced in the “Knights of the Old Republic” video game, played a significant role in Legends lore, marking the beginning of what was known as the “Dawn of the Jedi.
James Mangold is now working on a film titled “Star Wars: Rise of the Jedi Order“, which is slated to depict the inception of the Jedi Order and is set approximately at the time when the Chandi Merle was stolen from Chandrilla. It’s uncertain whether the Chandi Merle will influence the narrative Mangold intends for “Rise of the Jedi Order“, but its presence could hint at the possibility of live-action appearances by the Rakata. Mangold’s script is being collaborated on by Beau Willimon, a member of the writing team for “Andor“, suggesting a strong link between the two projects.
