Actor Lewis Pullman discusses the transformation of his MCU villain character in the upcoming film, “Thunderbolts,” where he will shift from antagonist to hero. According to the cast announcement for “Avengers: Doomsday,” Pullman will once again play the Sentry role alongside most other Thunderbolt actors. Speculation suggests that Taskmaster might perish in “Thunderbolts,” as only one Thunderbolt star, Olga Kurylenko who plays Antonia Dreykov, is absent from the cast list for “Avengers: Doomsday.
In a special chat with Ebaster magazine, Lewis Pullman from the Thunderbolts movie series discusses his character’s comeback in “Avengers: Doomsday.” According to Pullman, although Sentry possesses immense power, he won’t be an unbeatable figure in the Avengers’ confrontation against Doctor Doom because “his most significant vulnerability lies within himself.” Furthermore, Pullman hinted that by the time of this movie, the Thunderbolts have already accepted Sentry as one of their own. ScreenRant: In Avengers: Doomsday, we might delve deeper into these characters, including Bob. Since Bob is expected to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, does this influence your perspective on his storyline in Thunderbolts*, regardless of whether you realized it earlier?
Lewis Pullman: “Absolutely, it does. I’m eager to discover how. Given his complexity, a significant aspect of his character seems to be his self as his greatest vulnerability. So, what lies ahead for such a man, possessing immense power but also harboring such a soft spot? It appears to be quite a substantial weakness. “
Now, we are aware that he is receiving assistance from the Thunderbolts*. They have adopted him in a sense, and it’s intriguing to ponder about his potential role with them. Perhaps he could learn to manipulate or control their power, or there might be some protective measures in place for him. Thus, I am eager to see how this relationship unfolds.
