Did Randeep Hooda turn down Ram Gopal Varma’s Ab Tak Chhappan due to his attitude? Actor spills the beans

Actor Randeep Hooda, known for his versatility in Bollywood, has delivered numerous impressive and unforgettable films throughout his career. Yet, his path to fame was not without challenges. In a recent interview, the actor spoke about his initial years in the industry and disclosed that he turned down director Ram Gopal Varma’s movie “Ab Tak Chhappan” because he wasn’t provided with the role initially given to Nana Patekar. Randeep also admitted that his girlfriend reprimanded him for displaying arrogance towards the filmmaker at that time.

In a recent chat on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, Randeep Hooda shared that after seeing the Company’s trailer, he felt determined to collaborate with RGV. Three years later, he received an opportunity for a minor role in RGV’s film Ab Tak Chhappan (2004), featuring Nana Patekar.

He stated, ‘Following my stage performance, RGV contacted me. He proposed a young officer’s part in Ab Tak Chhappan. Upon being asked about it, I declined. I explained, “I’ve come here to embody Nana Patekar’s role. I’m not accepting this role”.’

Later on, the Jaat actor disclosed that he was subsequently invited for a meeting with the movie director. Ram Gopal Varma commended his demeanor and requested to see his physique. Consequently, he was given the role of the villain in his upcoming film, but unfortunately, that project never took off.

Randeep Hooda also mentioned, “At the time, my girlfriend reprimanded me for displaying an arrogant demeanor around RGV and lacking humility.

When the performer portraying Swatantrya Veer Savarkar spoke, he mentioned an incident where he visited RGV the following day. There, he revealed a more courteous and modest side, but received the comment, “I preferred you more yesterday,” from RGV.

Additionally, Randeep mentioned that following the cancellation of Ek, he approached him and disclosed his intention to seek new acting opportunities in order to support his household. Later, Ram Gopal inquired about his regular living costs and provided him financial assistance for a period of three years, before eventually casting him in D.

Currently on the job scene, actor Randeep Hooda was recently spotted alongside Sunny Deol in the main role for the film “Jaat”. This movie also includes Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra, Viineet Kumar Singh, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Ramya Krishnan, and Swarupa Ghosh in significant roles.
