Finn Wolfhard is set to appear in a heartwarming A24 production titled “ “, which revolves around Yuri (Helena Zengel), a young girl, and her escapade with an Ochi, a being she’s been taught to regard with apprehension. Interestingly, Wolfhard found himself deeply captivated by the Ochi character.
Initially, it was challenging not to encounter Norman Osborn, as Wolfhard put it about his co-star. Known as the Green Goblin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Norman Osborn is one of its most dreaded and recognized villains. Making his first appearance in the movie “Spider-Man” back in 2002, he embodied everything audiences craved in a supervillain, even coming dangerously close to taking out Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker on multiple occasions.
In 2021, Dafoe reappeared as Norman in the cross-universe saga “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. Almost immediately, he proved to be a formidable menace to Tom Holland’s character, Peter Parker. Eventually, he took the life of Aunt May, played by Marisa Tomei, which left young superhero Peter Parker heartbroken and set the stage for a fresh chapter in his life journey.
Wolfhard was particularly excited to listen to Dafoe’s voice, which is famously known for its chilling Green Goblin laugh. The Stranger Things actor shared this sentiment in an interview, saying, “Whenever I heard his voice, I’d think, ‘Oh, my goodness! He’s real!’ He’s in virtually every movie ever made, and his voice is incredibly iconic, while his acting skills are legendary.
The thrill of collaborating with Dafoe has never truly diminished for me, to be truthful, and interestingly enough, Wolfhard was fortunate enough to seek his advice on acting and career matters. We had numerous enlightening discussions, and I even inquired about his experiences as a stage actor in New York during the ’70s and ’80s. It was fascinating to delve into his thoughts on that topic. I feel like I’ve learned a great deal about acting by observing him, and I believe he’s someone who is genuinely passionate about the art of it.
Willem Dafoe May Return To The MCU One Day
“Although Norman Osborn didn’t literally perish in No Way Home, he was transported back to his own realm. It’s possible that he might find a way out of his impending demise there and resurface again to inflict more torment upon Peter – or any of the Peters. After all, he hinted at his potential return by saying, ‘I could come back.’ I had an incredible experience working on the Spider-Man series, and it was a blast!”
So far, there’s much mystery surrounding the identity of the main antagonist, and whether the movie will delve into the concept of the multiverse. If Daniel Day-Lewis appears again in the film, Finn Wolfhard and many other enthusiasts would undoubtedly be thrilled.
