Thank F*ck This All Happened

As a movie aficionado, I can attest that the superhero genre has become a crowd favorite, but every now and then, a project emerges that truly distinguishes itself. One such standout is “The Boys,” available on Amazon Prime, thanks to its graphic violence and uncensored humor reminiscent of an R-rated film. Erin Moriarty, who plays Annie/Starlight in the series, recently penned a heartfelt birthday tribute to her co-star Jack Quaid, recalling their journey from friends to collaborators on this remarkable production.

What we know about The Boys Season 5 is very limited, and it’s not expected to arrive until sometime in 2026. While we patiently wait for information about what comes next, it’s clear that there’s a ton of love shared between those bringing the comic book adaptation to life. Moriarty’s Instagram post about Quaid featured a carousel of photos, with a caption reading:

Dear Jack Quaid, (though not blood-bound), your bond feels as strong as if we shared the same DNA, thanks to Hollywood’s magical fake blood. I adore you, man! Expressing my gratitude for this epoch we’ve shared together is a challenge, but I’ll try: a caption seems an inadequate attempt at describing the profound feelings I harbor due to our association. Thank goodness you were born, thank goodness all these events unfolded with you, and thank goodness every path led us to that tiny room in Santa Monica years ago – the one that brought Hughie and Annie into our lives.

Working alongside an unpleasant scene partner might appear dreadful, but that’s far from the truth for Erin Moriarty and Jack Quaid on The Boys. Instead, they share a strong bond of friendship, with Quaid even defending her against online criticisms.

On Amazon Prime Video, you can enjoy a 30-day complimentary viewing of the series “The Boys”. To continue watching after this period, a subscription to Amazon Prime Video is required at $14.99 per month. Alternatively, you could opt for a 22% discount by paying $139 upfront for an annual subscription. Check out the deal here!

In the early stages of “The Boys”, Annie and Hughie’s romance was yet to captivate fans. As Moriarty recounted, they might have shared a small audition room in Santa Monica. Whatever transpired during that audition sparked their successful partnership, marking the beginning of a fruitful collaboration.

After the Season 4 finale of The Boys, viewers are left with numerous unanswered questions concerning the fate of characters such as Hughie and Annie. Although Annie managed to flee due to her newly acquired ability to fly, the remainder of the team of vigilantes ended up in Vought’s custody. It remains a mystery as to how our heroes can bring down the malevolent organization with them being held captive. However, it appears that Starlight could potentially spearhead the resistance efforts.

The fifth season of “The Boys” is likely its finale, which makes me eager to witness the resolution. Could Antony Starr’s Homelander ultimately be overthrown? I’d surely enjoy seeing him receive his just desserts, but it’s uncommon for justice to prevail on “The Boys”.
