In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the classic summer blockbuster Jaws, which catapulted the renowned director Steven Spielberg to fame in Hollywood, is getting a fresh home video release.

Starting on June 17th from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, the upcoming version of the classic sea thriller about a small New England town attacked by a formidable deep-sea predator comes packed with plenty of extra features (over five hours’ worth!). These extras should be more than enough to delight any dedicated fan, or, to put it another way, they could feed a hungry great white shark.

In various formats, you’ll find it available: 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, digital streaming options, and a special SteelBook edition showcasing exclusive artwork that hasn’t been seen before.

Alongside the typical collection of deleted scenes, bloopers, and behind-the-scenes footage, the 50th anniversary rerelease includes the National Geographic documentary “Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story,” produced by longtime Spielberg documentarian Laurent Bouzereau. This companion piece will have its world premiere at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 20, since the somewhat turbulent filming of “Jaws” occurred on the scenic island off the coast of Massachusetts.
