Blake Lively Raves About ‘Dream’ Cast of ‘Another Simple Favor’ Sequel

Despite being embroiled in a tough legal dispute with her co-star Justin Baldoni, Lively is now busy promoting her newest venture. Lively has joined forces once more with director Paul Feig and Anna Kendrick for the sequel to 2018’s “A Simple Favor,” titled “Another Simple Favor.” The movie will soon be available on streaming platforms.

The movie titled “Another Simple Favor” debuted at the South by Southwest Festival in early March. It was adapted from Darcey Bell’s 2017 novel of the same name. The crew enjoyed working on this film so much that they are collaborating again for a sequel, even though there isn’t a sequel book available yet. After the New York City premiere of “Another Simple Favor” on Apr. 27, Blake Lively took to Instagram Stories to express her appreciation for the team, calling them “a dream.

In a lively manner, Lively posted the video from the red carpet premiere of “A Simple Favor” on her Stories, originally shared by the film’s official account. The post read, “The dream team,” as she tagged director Paul Feig and her costars, Blake Lively and Emma Kendrick. Additionally, the former “Gossip Girl” star included her colleagues in the post and wrote, “Really are the dream,” hinting that this is evident when you watch the movie.

Lively posted another video featuring herself with Kendrick, engaging in conversation while snapping pictures. She tagged the actress and included a heart emoji with a red hue.

Just like how she debuted at the premiere of “It Ends With Us,” Lively walked the red carpet accompanied by her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as well as another actor from their films “Deadpool” and “Wolverine.

Apart from sharing a high-profile video from the premiere featuring her spouse Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, the directors of Deadpool and Wolverine (Shawn Levy), Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, Blake Lively expressed her affection by saying “I couldn’t adore them any more if they were my own family.

Actress from the movie “The Age of Adeline” also posted a picture of the entire cast at the premiere, expressing her admiration for her fellow actors: “A truly exceptional cast in every aspect” she penned. “I am fully aware of how lucky I am to be acquainted with and collaborate with each one of these remarkable individuals and artists.

What Is Another Simple Favor About?

In the sequel to “A Simple Favor,” I find myself following the storyline where Emily Nelson, played by Blake Lively, is out of jail and living her life to the fullest. Instead of the previous setting, we’re whisked away to the picturesque island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s grand wedding to a successful Italian businessman. However, as fate would have it, a murder occurs amidst the opulence of the festivities, adding another layer of mystery and intrigue to the already captivating tale.

Besides Lively and Kendrick, other cast members from “A Simple Favor” returned for the sequel. Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, and Bashir Salahuddin are joining in a fresh adventure. Additionally, “Another Simple Favor” introduces new faces such as Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell, Elena Sofia Ricci, and Allison Janney.

Another Simple Favor premieres on Prime Video on May 1.
