Stephen Root Joins Resident Alien Season 4 Cast as Harry’s Evil Alien Father

Who’s your daddy? Stephen Root, apparently.

In the upcoming Season 4 of “Resident Alien,” renowned character actor Alan Tudyk, recognized for his roles in shows like “NewsRadio,” “Office Space,” “Get Out,” and numerous Coen brothers’ productions, will portray Harry Vanderspeigle, the father of an alien in disguise. This casting brings together Tudyk and series lead again, as they previously starred together in the 2004 sports comedy “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story,” alongside Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn.

As a gamer, I heard from Variety that Root is set to portray Harry’s father in human form, but don’t get too attached – this celestial patriarch isn’t yearning for a heartwarming family gathering. Instead, he wants our protagonist to revert to his mischievous extraterrestrial origins. It’s important to remember that Harry initially came to Earth with the intent of annihilating humanity, only to be lured by the allure of pizza and the tricky trap of human emotions like love.

After completing a three-season stint on SYFY, the popular series is shifting to USA Network for its upcoming episodes.

When does Season 4 of Resident Alien premiere?

It’s still undisclosed when Season 4 of “Resident Alien” on USA Network will be released, but an official summary is available.

In the fourth season, Harry (Tudyk), along with his baby Bridget, find themselves incarcerated on the Grey Moonbase. Meanwhile, an alien named Mantid, disguised as Harry Vanderspeigle, has infiltrated Earth. As Harry breaks free from the Greys and returns to Earth, he’s drawn into a confrontation with this Mantid Alien. However, he realizes he might lack the necessary resources to complete the mission. Asta (Sara Tomko) and D’arcy (Alice Wetterlund) grapple with concealing vital information from Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garretson), who are eager for answers regarding their recent experiences. Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) work tirelessly to unravel a series of inexplicable deaths in Patience, which Sheriff Mike suspects may not be human-related.

As a passionate gamer, I’m excited to share that Chris Sheridan, a veteran from Family Guy, is the brain behind and overseer of this project, inspired by the comics of the same name. Interestingly, it was USA Insider who broke the news about a fresh Resident Alien comic series hitting stores this summer!
