Salman Khan in no mood to take break? Superstar expected to start working on war-drama film sooner than expected; details inside

A few days ago, it became known that following the failure of Sikandar, Salman Khan has decided on his next project. It was announced that this megastar has chosen a war-drama film based on the Galwan Valley conflict in 2020 as his next endeavor, with Apoorva Lakhia directing. Now, according to the latest news, plans for shooting the movie have surfaced, and he is expected to start filming much sooner than anticipated.

As per Mid-day’s report, it seems that Salman Khan plans to start work on his upcoming project within five months. It’s worth noting that, although he hasn’t officially signed the deal yet, he has reportedly given approval for director Apoorva Lakhia to move forward with the project.

According to the report, it was found that the superstar decided to focus on a different project instead of Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, which could have been his collaboration with Kabir Khan. However, unfortunately, the sequel for the much-anticipated movie never came into being.

Recently, The Hollywood Reporter disclosed that Khan received offers for films from various directors following the release of Sikandar in March. Yet, it was a film about the Galwan Valley conflict – which erupted between Indian and Chinese troops in the Ladakh region of India in June 2020 – that sparked his interest.

The report added that as long as the superstar provides a heads-up, Lakhia would begin planning the shooting schedule. The movie, financed by Salman Khan Films, will take place on location in Ladakh.

Meanwhile, it was disclosed last month that Salman reportedly met screenwriter V. Vijayendra Prasad, suggesting a potential partnership for Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. A separate source indicated that they had conceived an idea, and negotiations were anticipated to be regarding the sequel of the movie released in 2013.

It appears that, with no decision made back then or currently, Khan has shifted his focus exclusively towards the production of the war-drama film.

As an ardent fan, I can’t help but gush over the mesmerizing cinematic journey that is “Sikandar,” masterfully directed by AR Murugadoss and brought to life by the visionary Sajid Nadiadwala. This captivating tale featured none other than Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Anjini Dhawan, among others, gracing our screens in their pivotal roles. This cinematic gem was unveiled earlier this year, making the celebration of Eid even more special with its release.
